Isaias' 5th birthday!

Isaias wanted a dinosaur birthday this year! He woke up to a special birthday chair with dinosaurs set up around his plate and a special birthday boy crown! For breakfast we had dino foot print pancakes! Then the birthday boy opened his gift, his favorite was his new slipper followed closely by staying home from school! After that we headed out for a day of play! We went to an indoor playplace. It has an arcade and playground inside. The kids love it! Isaias won 100 tickets toward his next prize at the arcade! Avigael discovered she loves to drive the horses and all the kids love the "super fast" slides! Our friend even enjoyed herself! Then off to lunch at Dico's (kinda like KFC) with three local friends. After that we headed to the DQ for some icecream! Isaias and mommy shared a banana split! I say shared but he ate most of it! All in all he had a great day! Happy 5th Birthday to our sweet boy!

Children's Day!

Welcome to Children's Day, yes it is a national holiday and yes the boys, kinda, had the day off!
The boys school took their students and the students parents to The Expo Gardens. The gardens are set up to show different countries gardens so they have many beautiful displays of national gardens, flower beds, flower covered floats and a large vegetable growing area.

The boys were met by there teachers dressing in minority people clothing!
This is Micaias class and his teacher is in pink.

This is Elias and Isaias class, their teacher is at the front right hand corner.

The lady in the middle is Elias and Isaias teacher. Along with two other friends of ours!

Isaias trying on one of the teachers hats

Each different class "showed off" what they could do. They all sang a couple of songs!

Here is Elias and Isaias class doing a song about sleeping.

The school had a bunch of different costumes that they let the students try on and play with! Here is micaias being a cow with a little help from our good friend who joined us that day!

Isaias as a tiger, again with our friends help.

Elias being very cultural and giving the peace sign while having his picture taken

This is one of the minority dances that the park performed for the students.

Right before lunch the kids had to draw a picture about what they saw at the park.

Eating lunch! Always a favorite time of the day!

Below are things that we were able to do after lunch! There was a museum area showing historical and cultural things as well as a few different greenhouse areas growing flowers, vegetables, desert plants, and tropical plants!

A very detailed ship replica complete with cannons and fire towers!

The tropical plant greenhouse.

Elias took pictures of everything! I have 75 pictures of veggies and other things!

This was in the veggie growing area. The tent looking things are for growing squash plants and different vine type plants.

We stayed at the park from 8 am until 3:30pm. We came home tired but had had a great time!

Micaias 3rd Birthday!

Micaias loves frogs! So we had a "Hoppy" birthday party this year!

We had a fly cake (chocolate chips). The kids said "groooossss!" but there wasn't anything left on there plates after!

Here's the crazy gang of kids that came to celebrate! There were 10 kids in all.

This lady bug cake was from a friend as a gift! It went perfect with the theme and they didn't even know what the theme was!

Because we couldn't find anything that looked like froggy birthday hats the kids made there own when they came. It kept them busy for awhile and they all looked really cute when they were finished! Each one had different faces and noses!

The boys showing off there ice cream eating skills :0)

Micaias and his gifts!

" Look Mom!"

You can always find a helping hand when there are gifts to be opened!

Putting together a lego catapult he was given with dad!

We played "frog hop" (musical chairs with lily pads), ate watermelon worms, and popped bugs (popcorn) and swamp juice! He had a great time!

Micaias is crazy and 100% clown! Most of the time he has a smile on his face or is trying to get someone else to smile! Some of his favorite things are fish, turtles, frogs and planes! He loves his brothers and new sister and is very caring towards them. Yes he has a temper some days to match that red hair but we love the fact that he also has a stubborn "I will finish this" kind of attitude as well! We are so very thankful that we have had the privilege to be his parents the last three years!

What do you think?

We hope you enjoy this new way of posting some of our picture with a video. I know sometimes it takes a few extra minute to download them but hope its worth it! Write our email if you have any comments! Thanks for hanging out with us for a few minutes today!

Boys and there.....hair!?!

Ok so maybe I'm a little prejudice but I think this is the best looking bunch of guys! Lol
Here's dad and the boys having fun with a bottle of gel.
There were a couple pictures that maybe were a little better but I love this one because there hair at the moment go with the faces they have! Elias has a mohawk and a screaming face, Isaias the messed up spike and a "bad attitude", Micaias has a curly classic look to go with his huge smile and Rob just looks posed and in charge!

Visit

Here some fun stuff from family and friend coming to visit! Hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed having them come!

Beautiful places and interesting.....

Here are a few of the places that we have seen in the last little bit

Temple architecture all hand painted

The gardians of the temple roof tops

This rock was apparently to big for the truck! Rob saw this on a trip. The rock had landed on the truck and completely crushed the back end!

This was also on that same trip, it had rained some and so the road that they were traveling turned into a nice mud slide! The trip should have taken a couple hours turned into 10 as they had to push the van out several times!

Again some more mud!

But as you can see the rain has some benefits! The rice fields will produce a harvest because of it!

More to come later.... having trouble with internet today! See you soon!

Elias Birthday

Elias decided he wanted to do his 5th birthday at KFC
which is a special treat to start with! So he choose two special friends to bring.

Here is our goofy group minus two sets of parents

They had eaten there sandwiches and were working on the icecream!

As you can see it was well enjoyed!

We came back to the house after for cake and presents

We had a special friend over for dinner and had an ironman cake

gladiators

Its amazing what you can do with some skateboard padding and a couple of bicycle helmets!

Look at those muscles!

Do I look cool dad?

The three musketeers

Looking tough

Working on his real muscles

catching up! :0)

Ok, so yesI've gotten very behind! Again my apologies! Since going month by month will be impossible ill summerize. Lets see over the last few months we have traveled, done lots of homework, traveled a little more, gone to school, made friends, gotten colds, found out we were pregnant, found out we were having a little girl, made and are making travel plans to have the baby, went to school some more, made lots of language mistakes, went to school, played with friends, make more language mistakes and are now back into another semester of school to try to fix the language mistakes that we continue to make! :0) If school and mistakes seems to be previlant thats because they are! We learn new ways of saying thing and grammer to back it up only to mix it up and somehow say the oposite of what we mean sometimes!
The boys are doing great with the school preschool/kindergarden here and we are looking at maybe moving them into an all chinese speaking school after the new year. This will hopefully help them learn to speak better and also allow them to get to meet more kids.
Rob has classes at the university here and also has a tutor that he works with a few days a week. He has writting, reading and spoken classes at the university and the tutor to help with the extra questions that come and to be able to see and do things that a classroom setting wouldnt be able to provide.
I have a private tutor that either comes to the house or we go out to different places for classes. My classes range from working though a work book to going to the postoffice to learn the words and objects that I need for daily life!
The pictures in the next few blogs are some of the things we've gotten to see and do or just some of the funny things that happened over the last few months! Thanks for hanging in there with us!

Micaias 2nd Birthday!

Micaias is totally in love with fish right now soooo we had a fishy birthday! Here are a few pictures from his special day!

The kids playing fishing in the living room.

We found these really cool little gel fish and little plastic fish at the market a few days before his birthday so the smaller kids went fishing for those!

Micaias catch of the day

Everyone got involved after a while

The cake and cake eaters (sorry the picture is a little fuzzy) Elias picked out the table cloth it has dolphins on it.

Of course he had to wear his Nemo shirt even though its a pajamas!!
He's digging into his brownie cake.

He looks a little worried that someone else will eat his cake!

Micaias is silly and fun loving! He thinks he's as big as his brothers so has little fear of things that mom thinks are "to big" for him! We are blessed to have three very unique boys! We look forward to seeing what He has planned for them in the coming years!
We found a very fun little place the other day the the boys really like. They get to paddle the boats themselves. The water is about a foot and a half deep. I think they spent about an hour paddling and still didn't want to come out.
