California Poppies

Welcome to a beautiful season in southern California!


This area is considered to be desert. Which you can see quite well in the summertime when everything turns to multi shades of brown but in March-April its a fiery color orange!

Its amazing to see an entire hill turn orange just because of flowers!

This was at the beginning of the poppy season a little later the entire area was a sea of orange!

Sharing or a little bit of brotherly competition?

Uncle Zach and Isaias. Isaias dropped his arms, he was being a copy cat to uncle zach!

"Dad can we see a snake like this!" P.S. It's a rattle snake! So my answer was NO!

Two special plants- The california Poppy and a Joshua tree in bloom.

Instead of the rattle snake we saw a lizard much to mommys relief!
