Reversed gravity

Out in Filmore California there is a hill that has reversed gravity! See for your self!

still not convinced....

Ok so its not reversed gravity its only an optical illusion. But it is really cool! Rob took me up the hill and it looked like we had crested it and were on the way down but when he put it into neutral we started to go backwards! Its a little trippy! So if your ever in Filmore try it out!

Snow in the desert!?!?

Rob said that it had snowed in Palmdale before but I didn't believe that it could happen...until the other night at about 1:00 in the morning! It didn't last long well ok long enough to throw a couple of snow balls and take some pictures!

Jam Session

The boys love having a jam session with Uncle Marty and Heather. The drums, the guitars, the microphone, ok so you get it! They had a blast! Of course you see Rob and I get hooked too. :0) After the boys went to bed we stayed up till I think 2 am playing with them!

We were blessed this year with many wonderful gifts for Christmas! I had pictures of a couple of them that I wanted to share with you!

The First one was that my sister very meticulously cut, baked and wrapped a gingerbread house for the boys to make. It was wrapped up in plastic wrap then newspaper and bubble wrap and mailed with a ton of little bags of candy to decorate it with and enough ingredients to make a couple batches of frosting oh and don't forget a marshmallow treat snowman to complete the house! Elias said "It's like Christmas!!" They had so much fun unwrapping each piece and putting it together! Only one little corner broke but it wasn't anything that frosting couldn't fix!

The second one was that we were given is a gift certificate to Disney Land which we used the Friday after Christmas! It was a wonderful treat that was totally unexpected and we had a great time! Here's some of the fun we had!

Having fun with Daddy & Waiting in line -were ready for the Nemo ride!

Micaias loved it too! Peek a Boo!

"It's a pirate ship Dad! We Pirates! Arrrr!" & The BIG chair with Becky and Zach.

Merry Christmas!

We had a green Christmas this year! I'm not quite used to seeing no snow around this time of the year but it was still wonderful. Christmas Eve I had a t-shirt and jeans driving with the windows down in the car to go get soup fixing! That evening though it was so cold that we had everyone in there jackets while we delivered presents and went to see all the beautiful Christmas lights! Miciais has been crawling for a month and a half now and was delighted by all the cool things to get into, especially those shiny ball things on the tree!
Our brother in law got a Wii for Christmas so that just added to the entertainment of the day (see the videos for how Rob and Zach got beat in boxing girls! :0) There still asking for a rematch!
We hope your family had a wonderful time as you remembered the Reason for the season. We wish you a wonderful new year!!

Christmas ornaments

Usually were in another state before Christmas and haven't been able to enjoy a family tradition that Roberts aunt started with her nieces and nephews when Robert was young- making Christmas ornaments at her house! She makes custom hand painted tiles as a profession and wanted to pass on a little of her love for art to the rest of the family. We had so much fun! She had EVERYTHING we could have possibly wanted to use, paints (of course) in every color, three different glitters, glue, fake snow, pretty ribbon to hang them with, as well as four different types of ornaments. Glass ones in different shapes, wood cars and tractors (which were Isaias favorite ones), ceramic, and wood ones with a pattern on them. And to make sure that all the pretty things got home safely she had bags set up with tissue paper in them and candy canes inside for a treat after they were finished! Needless to say it was a fun and memory filled day and the boys enjoyed hanging out with there cousins!

All set to work!

With my little helpers doing so good in the kitchen we decided to expand there expertise in another area. Pappy found the perfect size tool belts at a home improvement store and just had to get them for the boys. As you can see the boys think that its the greatest thing! They had fun helping get a stage ready for a Christmas performance and help daddy and pappy with the repairs around the house. All the tools are real and work very nicely, mommy has enjoyed them too! :0)

Daddy's Fort

Elias and Isaias decided that they would hide on daddy when he came home from a meeting the other day and then it turned into a giant fort under the table! As you can see everyone thought that this was a blast!

Christmas Fun

Uncle Zach and Aunt Becky came up for a couple of days three weeks before Christmas and we decided to make a Ginger Bread house with the boys. We all had a lot of fun but I think Isaias had the most fun, he sat at the table and ate candy whenever he though no one was looking. As we were doing the roof he would put one on and eat two!! Needless to say about half way through we did a run off the candy run and then finished the house! We were fairly impressed with our accomplishment especially since this was the first time making ginger bread for everyone but me! Our house was complete with a wood pile, lit Christmas tree, Christmas lights around the roof, wreath out front, a sled and a snow man with scarf and hat. Oh ya and Santa falling down the chimney!! It was a fun project and a cool Christmas decoration!

Little Helpers

These are my little helpers. They love to bake and are now getting to the point that they can do most of it by themselves, I help with the measuring and reading and they get everything from the shelves and mix it together. Elias is pretty good with the eggs too. I had a couple of smaller wooden spoons so now they think there the greatest chefs in the world! :0)
